Places to Go Out...

Nearby Places… Union Park (228 S Racine Ave, Racine & Jackson)-Little more of an upscale bar, but great discounts Tuesday-Thursday including Blue Moon specials.  Also ½ off appetizers on certain days.  Bar Louie (1321 W. Taylor St)-Tuesdays are Dollar Burgers and Mondays are 25 cent chicken wings (better than Hawkeyes’ wings in my opinion)!  The drinks are a little expensive here. Hawkeyes (1458 W Taylor St)-A Rush Medical Student favorite.  Mondays are 25 cent wings and Wednesdays are half off pizza. After each round of exams, you will expect to see a large number of your fellow classmates celebrating there.  Show your Rush Student ID and receive draft beer discounts!  They always have pretty good drink specials and more importantly, they are walking distance from Rush. Lincoln Park-There are tons of bars in Lincoln Park to choose from.  Cab rides cost about $20-25, so make sure you get at least four people in your cab.  Most of the good places fill up around 11 am, so make sure to get there early. Kendalls (2263 N. Lincoln)

Kelseys (2265 North Lincoln)

McGees (950 W. Webster)-DOLLAR BOTTLES!!! Every Thursday.  Usually a $3-5 dollar cover at the door.  This is the only place where Colin will actually buy someone else a drink.

Grand Central (950 W Wrightwood Ave)-A great place to go on the weekends, but make sure you get there early because there is usually a line.   John Barleycorn (658 W. Belden Ave)-A great bar to start of at Lincoln Park.  Usually lots of room early at the bar, so pretty easy to get drinks.

Kincades (950 West Armitage)-$1 Bottles on Wednesday night, plus karaoke in the back room. Rush & Division…

The Hangge-Uppe (14 W. Elm Street, Chicago, IL) -If you love 80’s, this is the place to go.  A great bar to finish the night off with.  People usually come after 1 AM, but be prepared to wait in line and also pay a $5 cover – but it is well worth it.  You will see Ajay break out his dance moves- making this destination a must. McFaddens (1206 N State Pkwy)-Popular bar to go after two since it is open late. Lines start by eleven on weekends so get there early to avoid lines. It is usually crowded so get used to tight spaces. Wicker Park & Bucktown-The only think that you will see in this town is a bunch of bad bars and Silas Hoxie asking someone to rub his back before he starts the process of reverse peristalsis.   Wrigleyville…

Hi-Tops (3551 N Sheffield Ave)

-STAY AWAY from this place, it stinks.  Erik Skulborstad brought us there one night, so he can meet up with a girl – unfortunately it was a bad night for everyone.  High drink prices and bad music make this wrigleyville destination a horrible place to have fun (and in Erik’s case – a bad place to meet up with girls).

Sluggers (3450 N Clark St)Popular Wrigleyville sports bar with tons of screens and brews, plus food, live music and an upstairs arcade.

Moe’s Cantina (3518 N. Clark)-Awesome place to drink if you get there early enough.  A place that is never dull, even in the Cubs off season.  Drinks are a little more pricey, but usually a good time anyway.   Expensive Night Clubs…where you can dance Le Passage (937 N. Rush St.)-I hate this place personally because it is so expensive, so I will just copy and past what their website says…“While the cobblestone pathway to the entry may not be the yellow brick road, it can still lead you to a night of upscale bliss. Self-described as a "sexy establishment", the posh Le Passage incorporates both dining, lounge, and bar space into its 10,000 square feet, making it ideal for after work decompression sessions, fine dining, and the requisite late-night scene. The Yow Bar turns into a club at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, with DJs spinning international dance and house music until close.”  Disclaimer – Prices and Conditions are subject to change Sound Bar (226 W. Ontario St.)-Breakout your best moves here and you could get lucky. Expensive but if you feel like splurging there seems to be always someone from school going here.
