Winter Qtr 2008 schedule for Class of 2011

RMStudents is hosting the schedule/calendar for Class of 2011's Winter 2008 quarter. There was a similar calendar up for the Fall quarter. If any of you use Gmail or Outlook or iCal, this is a very easy and very helpful way to keep track of your classes.

Do not just click on the link, unless you plan on using Microsoft Outlook. If you want to use this with Google Calendar, follow the instructions below. If someone can e-mail me the instructions for iCal (all typed up) I can paste that into here for Mac users. Thanks.

As the school year progresses we hope to be able to add more information to the calendar like which group dissects when.

Google Calendar

As an example, I'll explain how to add this calendar to your Google Calendar. If you are logged into your Gmail account right now, click on the "Calendar" link at the top left and it should take you to your calendar in a new window. You may have to login again. Or you can go straight to Google Calendar.

Once at your calendar, look to the left side/column and find the little down arrow next to "Add," click on the little arrow then scroll down to "Add by URL." The frame/page to the right of the little menu (the center of the page) should change. Copy and paste the address above into the little box that shows up in the center of the page, then click "Add." That should automatically add the calendar. On the left the calendar will show up with some name (I'm not sure what), but you can change the display name by click on the little arrow next to the calendar and going to "Calendar settings."

Microsoft Outlook

If you're using Microsoft Outlook, simply clicking on the link above should force Outlook to open and add the calendar.

iCal (Mac)

Steven and Colin have both informed me that Mac users need to simply click on the link above and iCal will import the calendar.  Thanks guys.

Just as a note

If you use other calendar programs besides the ones mentioned, it should work in a similar way.  Almost all modern calendar applications support the iCalendar format.  You simply need to figure out how to subscribe to an external calendar or subscribe to a calendar by URL as Usama noted.
